• To record all necessary experimental information, to process the data, prepare results and submit to client oil companies.
• **Key Activities and Accountabilities**:1.
• Conduct onsite experiments/measurements in a safe and efficient manner according to specified methods laid down in appropriate work instructions and procedures.
• 2.
• Carry out onsite analysis in a safe and efficient manner according to customer requirements and appropriate methods laid down in work instructions and procedures.
• 3.
• Interpret the measured data by use of relevant software packages and calculation methods; record all such calculations and methods of working in work files and prepare results in a format suitable for presentation to clients.
• 4.
• Conduct ‘small scale’ equipment maintenance and calibration as necessary to ensure efficient field operations.
• 5.
• May be required to perform unsupervised Field Service activities at remote locations, liaising with customers as required to ensure smooth performance of all operations.
• 6.
• Follow all other administrative procedures and work instructions specified by laboratory management systems so as to comply with the requirements of ISO 9002 accreditation.
• 7.
• Be aware of safety considerations at all times and bring any perceived safety issues to the attention of the Line Manager without delay.
• **Job Knowledge and Qualifications**:1.
• 3+ years onsite/laboratory experience.
• 2.
• Technical knowledge gained through completion of competency for grade.
• 3.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• 4.
• Good familiarity with computers and data processing.
• 5.
• Experience with chromatography.
• 6.
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word).
